Lots of people have started raising their own brood of backyard chickens for their precious eggs. If this is an item on your personal bucket list, join us for this special opportunity to learn vital details from a professional to get a successful start. This course will offer suggestions for humanely raising a small flock of chickens in an urban or rural area. Discussion will include instruction on brooding and feeding chicks from hatching to maturity. Breed selection, disease control and egg cleaning and storage will also be discussed. This course is open to the public. OLLI membership is not required.
