OLLI 2021 Challenge
Invite Family and Friends to Join OLLI Classes Online!
2021 appears to be a brighter year with a hopeful return to more normal times ahead! One positive learning experience from 2020 is the power of technology and the ability it affords us to meet and interact virtually. This new virtual learning world has helped us get through the pandemic and generated new opportunities for us all. This is true for OLLI too. We have had family and friends from across the country and even from around the world, join the OLLI membership and attend some of our online classes, and even teach for OLLI online!
As 2020 comes to a close we ask that you spend some time considering which of your friends and family members might be interested in joining the virtual OLLI world. We challenge you to reach out to them and encourage them to enroll in Winter Quarter 2021 classes. The Winter Quarter Catalog is now available online, and it’s the perfect time to invite them with the link to the OLLI at UC Davis catalog.
If you haven’t yet joined our virtual classrooms, we encourage you to participate also. Members who have tried it are enjoying getting to see and talk with each other live and continue learning together!
This is an opportunity where everyone wins! Your friends and family will be able to share in the intellectual stimulation and the friendly social vibe of OLLI at UC Davis, and, OLLI can more quickly recover from the financial impact of COVID.
- There’s a special reward for the first 5 members who renew their own membership and recruit a new member! The member will receive a free enrollment in a single-session Winter course of their choice.
- The deadline for this promotion is December 31, 2020.
- Your newly recruited member must be someone who has not paid for an OLLI membership in summer or fall 2020.
- You MUST email olli@ucdavis.edu immediately after completing your enrollment and the enrollment of your friend or loved one.
- OLLI Staff will be check enrollment records to determine the first five members who successfully completed the challenge.
- We will post our thanks and notification of those who won the Challenge on the OLLI blog
We understand that online enrollment can be a little tricky. If you cannot register online, please call Student Services at 530-757-8777. Leave your name, a reliable phone number and mention you’re calling to enroll in OLLI.
