Angel Island History & Immigration Museum Tour

Enjoy enthralling views, a ferry ride, picnic lunch and two guided tours at this iconic San Francisco Bay island…

Stone monument on Angel Island dedicated to Chinese immigrants

Join OLLI for a memorable summer day at Angel Island State Park, the largest natural island in San Francisco Bay. This island has been a hunting/gathering spot for the Miwok people, a haunt of Spanish explorers, a cattle ranch, a military outpost and the nation’s second largest immigration station. We’ll travel by motor coach to Tiburon for a ferry ride to the island where we’ll enjoy custom made box lunches! Next, we’ll take a one-hour private tram ride including an audio tour featuring historic sights and views. Finally, we’ll tour the island’s Immigration Museum with an interpretive ranger to learn its unique history.
